PARTNER/K12 SAW

This saw is made for concrete, masonry, steel, and rebar cutting to allow "breeching" of walls, and also forcible entry. It is also great for roof cutting due to its unique power source and the use of CHOPPER blades that can be swapped out. This saw consists of five horsepower and weighs less than 20-pounds. Our k-12 saw is a Husqvarna.

VENTILATION/RESCUE SAW

Exclusively for fire, rescue and emergency service work, this saw allows us to be able to ventilate a roof during fire suppression operations. Just like the K12 saw our rescue saw allows us rapid entry and egress into and out of a wood frame structure in emergency operations. This saw weighs 15.4 pounds. We use the STIHL "Rescue" Saw

RES-Q-JACKS

The Res-Q-Jack system was developed for FIRE/RESCUE services to Stabilize, Lift, and Extricate during motor vehicle accidents. These Jacks work in conjunction with our jaws of life and airbags to properly stabilize the vehicle for victim extrication. The purpose of the jacks are to stop any "play" or in other words movement of the vehicle to ensure the safety of the patients during the removal process. Our particular set contains three pieces.

JAWS OF LIFE

The Jaws of Life is a set of tools comprised of Cutters, Spreaders, ram, and power unit. These tools are uses in conjunction with the airbags, and jacks, or alone to help free trapped victims involved in motor vehicle accidents. Our specific brand of "Jaws" is AMKUS. The cutters alone have a maximum cutting force of 200,807 lbs with 10,500 psi rated input pressure (Cutters not pictured)

AIRBAGS

As stated above our airbags can be used in conjunction with our RES-Q-JACK's and "JAWS" for victim extraction, or our system can stand alone. The purpose of our "bags" are to be able to lift anything from a small vehicle, to a tractor trailer or even a rail car from a train. our lifting capabilities adds up to 101 tons, we will use this equipment if for some reason we have entrapment under something or pinned underneath a vehicle or other type of heavy object that can not be moved any other way. Our department uses AIRSHORE

THERMAL IMAGING CAMERA (TIC)

A thermal imaging camera (TIC) is a specialized camera which converts infrared radiation into a visible image, allowing the camera's user to visualize a scene more completely. in other words the TIC works on heat. It will take the temperature of the contents in the room to create the picture. (the warmer the object the brighter it appears). This allows us to search and locate downed victims and/or fellow firefighters or for extension of fire within or behind walls or ceilings. the TIC for the most part does not pick up smoke (unless it is super heated) allowing for a pretty clear image being displayed.

MULTI GAS METER

GasAlertMax XT II reliably monitors up to four hazards and combines straightforward one-button operation with a robust, motorized pump for intelligent, remote sampling, ideal for confined spaces. This meter allows us to monitor LEL levels, CO levels, O2 levels and H2S levels.
